Speaker: Matt Harrington (Author, Trainer, Consultant)

Matt Harrington will be presenting “Strategically Understanding and Maximizing the Strengths of the Newly Emerging, Multi-Generational Workforce” at the Vermont Country Store in Manchester.

Matthew Harrington is author of Survival of the Hive: 7 Leadership Lessons from a Beehive and partner at New Directions, an innovative leadership firm located in Bennington, Vermont.  Matthew is seen as a subject matter expert on social media, social learning, the Millennial generation, and new forms of leadership within the workplace.  An up-and-coming national trainer and speaker, Matthew is passionate about the ever-changing field of leadership and organizational development.  Matthew works with organizations such as the Vermont Federal Credit Union, Killington Resort, Advocate Construction, and Keurig Green Mountain to improve their learning, engagement, leadership and organizational performance.

With 50% of the workforce now comprised of the Millennial generation (1980-2001), organizations need to discover new ways to excite, engage and retain this generation while harnessing their raw talents and natural abilities. How do we begin to build a workplace culture that encourages Millennials to engage, lead and, in turn, stay in our organizations?  This workshop sheds light on some new and innovative ways to build a strong workforce for the future.
