Please note: The Chapter meeting starts at 8:00AM. Our featured presentation will start at 9:00AM.

Developing employees is critical to organizational success. Most organizations use some time of performance review process as part their human capital plans. In this session, we will discuss how organizations can move from performance management to performance development. The focus will be on how HR can help supervisors be more effective in their performance responsibilities. We will review and discuss how to make performance development an on-going part of a supervisor and employee’s role rather than a once a year (or less!) activity. We will look at strategies to help supervisors have difficult, challenging conversations as part of the performance process. Other areas we will touch on include the importance of listening, setting clear expectations and goal-setting.  We will provide examples of some interesting performance forms and processes from other organizations.
