    January 31, 2019

And so, it begins! The 2019 legislative session has launched and this year’s group of elected officials includes 40 new members in the House of Representatives, understandably as the fourth week of the legislative session comes to a close, the focus continues to be one of learning. Many committees are still going through the process of understanding their roles and responsibilities. Bills are slowly being introduced with an estimated 600 to be released over the next few weeks.
Two bills of great interest in 2019 will be the minimum wage and paid family leave bills that will be addressed early in the legislative year.

H.107 An act relating to Paid Family Leave.
